Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu (1,330m)
Day 2 In Kathmandu; sightseeing Kathmandu Valley
Day 3 Take the short but spectacular mountain flight to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara (820m); optional hike to Peace Stupa for stupendous views of Pokhara and the Annapurnas
Day 4 Short drive to Bijayapur (1,130m) and commence trek to Kalikasthan (1,650m)
Day 5/6 Trek through terraced fields and tiny villages peopled by Hindus to Begnas Lake (630m)
Day 7/8 Drive to an old Newari trading village of Bandipur (1,030m); rest and explore
Day 9/10 Drive to Chitwan National Park to view wildlife
Day 11 Drive to Kathmandu through narrow river valleys
