Trek along the Modi Khola Valley and marvel at the Annapurna range towering over you. This walk to the incredible mountain amphitheatre known as the "sanctuary" takes you to Annapurna I south face base camp. The Sanctuary's commanding position in the heart of the Annapurnas makes the mountains seem so close, you could reach out and touch them.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu (1,330m)
Day 2 In Kathmandu, sightseeing Kathmandu Valley
Day 3 Drive to Pokhara (820m)and on to Phedi (1,130m); commence trek to Dhampus (1,650m)
Day 4/6 Continue through terraced fields and remote villages along the Modi Khola valley with views of Annapurna South (7,219m) before approaching the Sanctuary
Day 7/8 Explore the high alpine wilderness of the Sanctuary/ Annapurna BC (4,130m)
Day 9/12 Return via a different route; end trek at Nayapul (1,070m) and drive to Pokhara Day 13 Take the spectacular 30 min-flight to Kathmandu
