One of the best alpine treks to Langtang region
Langtang was part of the major trade route linking India, Nepal and Tibet, and still attracts Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims to its sacred sites. The least visited of Nepal's major trekking areas is almost a well-kept secret. However, stunning mountain views, quaint Tamang villages, friendly mountain people, rich culture, lush pine forests, uncrowded trails and the sacred alpine lake of Gosainkund await the informed trekker. A day's bus ride from Kathmandu, Langtang is well-worth the journey!
