This challenging adventure combines the two classic treks of Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Sanctuary in a veritable kaleidoscope of all that the beautiful Annapurna region has to offer. The vision of snow-capped mountains, deep plunging valleys, isolated communities and remote monasteries will inspire travellers with a true adventurous spirit. Reaching over 5400m Thorung Pass and standing in the mountain amphitheatre of the Sanctuary, you will revel in the exhilarating experience and extraordinary lifetime achievement.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu (1,330m)
Day 2 In Kathmandu, sightseeing Kathmandu Valley
Day 3 Drive to Besisahar and on to Bulbule (840m); commence trek across forested ridges to Ngadi (930m)
Day 4/8 Slowly ascend Marsyandi Valley to the trading village of Manang (3,540m)
Day 9 Acclimatization day in Manang
Day 10/11 Cross the mighty Thorung la (5,416m) to Muktinath (3,800m), a place of pilgrimage
Day 12/14 Trek through the world's deepest gorge along Kali Gandaki Valley, beneath the great peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna (both above 8000m), to Tatopani (1,190m)
Day 15 Ascend to Ghorepani (2,750m) and the famous view point of Poon Hill (3,193m) to gain superb panoramic views of the mountains
Day 16/17 Walk through the dense rhododendron forest and terraced fields to the Modi Khola Valley and, to Chomrong (2,170m)
Day 18/19 Trek along the narrow Modi Khola Valley before approaching the Sanctuary Day 20 Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m); explore the high alpine wilderness of the Sanctuary
Day 21/24 Retrace steps to Chomrong and exit via a different route; end trek at Nayapul (1,070m) and drive to Pokhara (820m)
Day 25 Take the spectacular 30 min-flight to Kathmandu
Day 26 At leisure in Kathmandu

-Downhill section of Thorung Pass to Muktinath is very steep and could be treacherous in case of snowfall
